で「長年の間、香港当局は、その歯に衣着せぬ日刊新聞を鎮圧しようとしてきた。広告収入の不足からくる財政難のせいで、同グループは台湾の姉妹新聞の発行を次の火曜日には終了せざるをえない状況になっている。」という意味になります。

香港のリンゴ日報（蘋果日報）創業者ジミー・ライ氏の財産が差し押さえられたというニュースからです。

Hong Kong authorities で「香港当局」です。
authorities で「当局」という意味です。
国の（権力側の）各種機関をさして言います。

have for years tried to ～ は「長年の間、～しようとしてきた」です。
現在完了の have tried to ～ の間に、副詞句の for years が挿入された形です。
慣れないうちは、このように２文字以上の副詞句が挿入されると非常に紛らわしく混乱しやすいですね。
いろいろな副詞句に慣れ親しんで、どこが副詞句かピンとくるようになると一気に読みやすくなると思います。

(try to) stifle the outspoken daily. で「ズバズバ発言するその日刊新聞を鎮圧し（ようと）」です。
stifle は「～を窒息させる」ですが、ここでは「鎮圧する、抑え込む」です。
the outspoken daily は記事内で前述されていた Apple Daily newspaper「リンゴ日報」を言い換えたものです。
daily はここでは名詞で「日刊紙」という意味になります。
outspoken は「歯に衣着せぬ物言いの、辛口の、遠慮のない」という意味の形容詞です。
例：outspoken critic「辛口の批評家」

Growing financial pressure from a shortfall in advertising revenue までが主語で「進む財政難、広告収入の不足からくる（財政難）」です。
Growing financial pressure で「進む財政難」です。
growing は「どんどん高まる、成長する、増大する」という意味の形容詞です。
例：growing population「増大する人口」、growing concern「高まる関心、高まる懸念」
financial pressure from ～ で「～からくる経済的圧迫」となります。
a shortfall in advertising revenue で「広告収入不足」です。
a shortfall in ～ で「～の不足」となります。
例：a shortfall in human resources「人材不足」

is forcing the group to ～ で「は、そのグループを～させている、～せざるをえなくしている」です。
force ～ to do で「（無理に）～に…させる」です。
the group は記事内で前述されているリンゴ日報の発行元 Next Digital のことです。

何をせざるを得なくしているかというと、
to end the paper publication of ～ で「～の新聞発行を終わりにする」です。
end は「～を終わらせる、終了する」という意味の動詞です。

何の発行かというと、
publication of its sister paper in Taiwan next Tuesday. で「同紙の姉妹新聞の発行を、台湾での、来週火曜日に」
となります。
its sister paper の its はリンゴ日報のことを指して「リンゴ日報の姉妹新聞」となります。
リンゴ日報（蘋果日報）台湾は、2021/5/17で廃刊となっています。
