The compulsion to do good is an innate American trait. Only North Americans seem to believe that they always should, may, and actually can choose somebody with whom to share their blessings. Ultimately this attitude leads to bombing people into the acceptance of gifts.

で「善行への強迫的な衝動は、アメリカ人の生来の特質である。神からの恵みは常に誰かに分け与えるべき、またそうしてもいい、実際にそうできると信じているのは北米人だけのようだ。結局この態度こそが、世界の人々を爆撃して、無理やりその恩恵を受けさせるという事態を招いているのだ。」という意味になります。

The compulsion to do good で「良いことをしなければという強い衝動」です。
compulsion コンパルションで「強い衝動、強迫観念」という意味の名詞です。
例：feel a compulsion to ～「～したいという衝動を感じる」
形容詞形は compulsive コンパルスィヴ「強迫観念にとらわれた、衝動的な」です。
例：compulsive shoplifting「強迫性の万引き」
is an innate American trait. で「～は、生得のアメリカ人の特性である」です。
innate イ[ネ]イトゥは「生まれながら持っている、生得の、根源的な、先天性の、固有の」です。
例：have an innate artistic ability「生まれながらに芸術的才能がある」
trait トゥレイトゥで「特性、特質」です。

Only North Americans seem to believe that ～ で「北米人たちだけが～だと信じているようだ」です。
North Americans で「北米人」つまり、アメリカ人のことです。
South Americans だと「南米人」つまり、南米諸国の人々になります。

何を信じているかというと、
(that) they always should, may, and actually can ～ で「自分たちが常に、～すべきと、そして～してもいい、そして実際に～できると」です。
何ができるのかというと、
choose somebody with whom to share their blessings. で「誰かを選んで、自分たちの神からの恩恵を分け与える」です。
choose somebody で「誰かを選ぶ」
その誰かとは、
with whom to share ～ で「（その誰かと）～をシェアする」です。
share their blessings (with ～) で「自分たちが受けた恵みを～とシェアする」となります。
their は North Americans のことです。
blessing は「神からの恵み、恩恵、しあわせ」です。

Ultimately this attitude leads to ～ で「結局のところ、この態度が～を招いているのだ」です。
lead to ～ で「～につながる、～を引き起こす」という意味の言い回し。to の後には名詞がきます。
例：lead to a better future「より良い未来につながる」
どういう状態を引き起こしているかというと、
(to) bombing people into the acceptance of gifts. で「人々を爆撃して、恩恵を受けさせる（という状態に）」です。
bomb ～ into … という言い回しは特にありませんが、
beat ～ into …「～を殴って…の状態にする」や、
trick ～ into …「～をだまして…させる」という用法を知っていれば意味が推測できますね。
例：trick someone into thinking ～「人をだまして～だと思わせる」、beat someone into obedience「人を殴って従わせる」
the acceptance of gifts「贈り物の受け取り」の gifts は、先ほどの their blessings の言い換えです。
people は「（世界の・他国の）人々」を指しています。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

アメリカ人固有の特性だ
