TED-Edより「The Infinite Hotel Paradox（無限ホテルのパラドックス）」です。

The night manager then takes the people on the first of the infinite buses and assigns them to the room number of the next prime, 3, raised to the power of their seat number on the bus. So, the person in seat number 7 on the first bus goes to room number 3^7 or room number 2,187.

で「その夜勤マネージャーはそれから無限バスの先頭のバスの乗客を連れて出して、2の次の素数3に彼らの座席番号を乗じた数の部屋番号の部屋を割り当てます。つまり、最初のバスの座席番号が7の人はルームナンバー3の7乗、つまり2187号室に行くのです。」という意味になります。

The night manager then takes ～ で「その夜勤マネージャーは、そのあと、～を連れて行く」です。
take は「～を取る、～を連れて行く」という意味です。
the people on the first of the infinite buses で「その無限バス行列の最初のバスに乗っている人達」です。
the infinite buses で「無限のバスたち」、the first of ～ なので「（そのバスの行列）の最初のバス」です。

and assigns them to ～ で「そして、彼らを～に割り当てる」です。
assign ～ to … で「～を…に割り当てる」でしたね。

to the room number of ～ で「～のルームナンバーに（割り当てる）」です。
何の数のルームナンバーかというと、
(of) the next prime, 3, raised to the power of their seat number on the bus. 長いですがこれで一つの名詞句となって「次の素数3の～乗（彼らのシートナンバーの累乗）」です。
the next prime は the next prime number の略です。
～ raised to the power of … で「～の…乗」という意味の言い回しでしたね。
例：9 raised to the power of 2「9の2乗」

So, ～「つまり、だから、」
the person in seat number 7 on the first bus で「最初のバスの7番のシートナンバーの人」です。
seat スィートで「座席」です。前置詞は in を使っています。
例：Excuse me, you’re in my seat.「すみません。そこは私の席です。」
goes to ～「は、～に行きます」
to room number 3^7 or room number 2,187. で「ルームナンバー3^7号室に、つまりルームナンバー2187に」です。
3^7 は 3 to the seventh power と読みます。
先ほどの表現に直せば、3 raised to the power of 7 とも言えますね。
or はここでは「すなわち、つまり、言い替えれば」という意味になっています。
例：HDL or “good” cholesterol.「HDL、つまり善玉コレステロール」

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

その夜勤マネージャーはそのあと

takes the people
～の人々を連れて行く

on the first of the infinite buses
その無限バスの最初のバスに乗った（人々）

and assigns them
そして彼らを～に割り当てる

to the room number of
～のルームナンバーに

次の素数3に彼らのバスのシートナンバーを乗じた数

So, the person in seat number 7 on the first bus
つまり、最初のバスの7番シートの人は

goes to room number 3^7
3^7号室の部屋に行きます

or room number 2,187.
つまり2187号室です
