で「今日、皆さんとこの場を共有できることを大変うれしく思います。我が国の歴史の中で最も偉大な自由へのデモとして名を残すことになるであろうこの集会に。100年前、一人の偉大なアメリカ人が、その人の象徴的な石像の影の中に私達は今立っていますが、奴隷解放宣言に署名をしました。」という意味になります。

前回までで第2期 オバマ大統領の就任演説（2013年）が終了しましたので、本日よりあたらしく、有名なキング牧師の演説「私には夢がある」（1963年）を進めていきたいと思います。

I am happy to join with you today で「私は幸せです、みなさんとご一緒できて、本日」です。
join with ～ in … で「～と一緒に…に参加する、…を～と共にする」です。
どんな場を共有しているかというと、
in what will go down in history as ～ で「～として歴史に名を遺すであろうことの中に」です。
what will go down in history で「歴史に名を遺すだろうこと（出来事）」です。
what は主語でありかつ関係代名詞で「こと、もの」という意味になっています。
go down in history で「歴史に残る」という意味のコロケーションになります。
何として歴史に残るのかというと、
as ～「～として」
the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation. で「最も偉大な自由へのデモ、我が国の歴史の中で」です。
demonstration for freedom で「自由を求めるデモ」です。

Five score years ago, で「100年前」となります。
score は古い言い方で「20」を表します。
リンカーンのゲティスバーグ演説の冒頭でも登場しましたね。

a great American で「ある一人のアメリカ人が」です。
, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, は挿入的に上記の a great American を説明した文で「その人の象徴的な影の中に、私達は立っている、今日」です。
whose symbolic shadow の whose が a great American を受けています。
分かりやすい語順に直すと、we stand in his symbolic shadow today となります。
そしてこの a great American がまさにエイブラハム・リンカーンのことです。
キング牧師が演説した場所は「リンカーン記念堂」の階段の上で、リンカーン記念堂にはリンカーンの座像が安置されています。
その一人のアメリカ人（リンカーン）が、
signed the Emancipation Proclamation. で「奴隷解放宣言に署名した」です。
Emancipation Proclamation は1863年の「奴隷解放宣言」です。キャピタライズされているので固有名詞だと分かります。
emancipation イマンスィ[ぺ]イションは「解放」という意味の名詞。
動詞形は emancipate イ[マ]ンスィペイトゥ「～を解放する、自由にする」です。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
