One hundred years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the Negro is still languished in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land. And so we’ve come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.

で「その100年後、黒人は、物質的繁栄という大海原の真ん中の貧困という孤島に暮らしている。その100年後、黒人はアメリカ社会の隅々で惨めな暮らしを強いられており、自国にいながら自分を追放者と感じている。というわけで、我々は今日、けしからぬ状況を浮き彫りにするためにここに来ている。」という意味になります。

One hundred years later,「その100年後」
the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty で「黒人は～の上で暮らしている、貧困という孤島の上で」です。
a lonely island of poverty で「貧困という孤島」という意味になっています。
of ～ には「～という」という【同格】の意味があります。

in the midst of ～ で「～の真ん中に」です。
in the middle of ～ とも言えます。
a vast ocean of material prosperity. で「物質的繁栄という広大な海」です。
vast は「（空間的に）広大な、（量などが）膨大な」という意味があります。
例：a vast amount of work「膨大な量の仕事」
prosperity は「繁栄」です。動詞形は prosper プ[ロ]スパー「繁栄する、事業などが成功する」です。

One hundred years later,「その100年後」
the Negro is still languished で「黒人は今だに自由がなく衰弱している状態である」です。
ここでは languished は形容詞として使われていますが、
動詞形 languish は「（人や動植物が）衰える、やつれる、しおれる」から「日の目を見ることなく惨めに暮らす」といった意味でも使われます。
in the corners of American society で「アメリカ社会の隅々で」
and「そして」
finds himself an exile で「自分を亡命者のように感じている」です。
find ～ … で「～を…のように感じる」という意味になります。
find は「見つける」でおなじみですが、このように「～だと感じる、～であると見出す」といった意味にも使えます。
例：How did you find it?「（感想を尋ねて）どうだった？」
in his own land. で「自分自身の国土で」

And so ～「だから」
we’ve come here today「我々は今日ここに来ている」
to dramatize a shameful condition. で「けしからぬ状態を浮き彫りにするために」です。
dramatize は「ドラマ化する、劇にする」という意味から、ここでは「劇的に表現する、浮き彫りにする、ありありと伝える」という意味です。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

黒人は生活している

on a lonely island of poverty

in the midst of
