で「また彼らの状況や、どのようにそれぞれの言語を習得したかによって、彼らは３つの一般タイプに分類することができます。例えば、ガブリエラの例を見てみましょう。彼女の家族は、彼女が２歳の時にペルーからアメリカに移住します。」という意味になります。

how they acquired each language, で「彼らがどのようにそれぞれの言語を習得したか」です。
acquire アク[ワ]イアは「～を努力して獲得する」という意味の動詞です。
例：acquire a better understanding about ～「～についてより理解を深める」

they can be classified into ～ で「彼らは～に分類することができる」です。
classify ク[ラ]スィファイで「～を分類する」です。
(into) three general types. で「３つの一般型に」です。

For example, let’s take Gabriella, で「例えば、ガブリエラを例にとりましょう」です。
, whose family immigrates to the US from Peru で「ガブリエラの家族はペルーからアメリカに移住している」です。
immigrate [イ]ミグレイトゥで「移住して入って来る」という意味です。
逆に emigrate は「移住で国を出て行く」という意味になります。
名詞形は immigrant [イ]ミグラントゥで「移民、移住者」です。
when she’s two-years old. で「彼女が2歳の時に」

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
