embody ～ で「～を体現している」です。

take a risk で「リスクを取る、危険を冒す」です。
diametrically opposing で「正反対に対立している」というコロケーション。
diametrically は「直径方向に、正反対に」という意味の副詞。
diametrical で「直径の、正反対の、対極にある」
opposing は「反対の、対立する、敵対の」
in recent years.「ここ数年、近年」
