No one wants to talk about it, and the less you talk about it, the more you have it. What underpinned this shame, this “I’m not good enough,” — which, we all know that feeling: “I’m not blank enough. I’m not thin enough, rich enough, beautiful enough, smart enough, promoted enough.” The thing that underpinned this was excruciating vulnerability. This idea of, in order for connection to happen, we have to allow ourselves to be seen, really seen.

No one wants to talk about it,「誰もそれについて話したがりません。」
, and ~「そして~」
the less you talk about it, the more you have it.「それについて話さないほど、それをもっと持つことになる。」
The older you get, the wiser you become.「年を取れば取るほど、賢くなる。」

What underpinned this shame,
, this “I’m not good enough,”「この『自分は十分ではない』という気持ち」です。
we all know that feeling:「私たちはみんなその感情を知っています」

“I’m not blank enough.「自分は十分に~ではない」です。

I’m not thin enough,「
rich enough,「十分金持ち(でない)」
beautiful enough,「十分美しく(ない)」
smart enough,「十分賢く(ない)」
promoted enough.”「十分出世して(ない)」

The thing that underpinned this「この感情を下から支えていた物は」

This idea of,「~というこの考え方」
This idea that, ~ となります。
in order for connection to happen,「人とのつながりが生じるようにするためには」
we have to ~「私たちは~しなければならない」
