This is how I’ve started to think, and this is certainly how I’ve been thinking in the last few months as I’ve been working on the book that will soon be published, as the dangerously, frighteningly over-anticipated follow up to my freakish success.

This is how I’ve started to think, and this is certainly how I’ve been thinking in the last few months as I’ve been working on the book that will soon be published, as the dangerously, frighteningly over-anticipated follow up to my freakish success.
で「最近こんな風に私は考えるようにしたんです。そしてこの考え方は、ここ２～３か月、もうすぐ出版される本を執筆する中でも使っている考え方です。異常なほどに成功したあの本の次に出る、危険なほど恐ろしいほどに期待されすぎている作品を。」という意味になります。

This is how I’ve started to think で「これが～のやり方です、私が始めた考え方の」
this is ～ の補語が how に続く名詞節「「～のやり方、どんな風にやるか」となっています。
how I’ve started to think で「私が（最近）始めた考え方」となります。
how I think「（私が）どう考えるか」に、have started to ～「～することを始めた」が挿入されたと考えるとしっくりくるかと思います。

and this is certainly how ～ で「そしてこれは、間違いなく、～なやり方（でもある）」です。

I’ve been thinking in the last few months で「私が最近この２～３か月の間に考えている（やり方、考え方）」です。

その２～３か月とは、
as I’ve been working on the book で「私がその本に取り組んでいる中で」です。
as ～ は「～しつつ、～しながら、～の中で」と【同時進行】を表す接続詞です。
work on ～ で「～に取り組む、～に従事する」という意味の句動詞です。
例：work on a complex task「複雑な作業に取り組む」
the book (that) will soon be published, で「まもなく出版されるだろうその本」です。

as ～ で「～として」です。
この as は上記とは違って、「～として」（出版される）という意味になります。

the dangerously, frighteningly over-anticipated follow up までがひとまとまりの名詞句です。
「危険なほど、怖いほど、期待されすぎた、フォローアップ」です。
follow up とは名詞で「（～の）続報、後に続くもの、続編、次回作」などという意味。
例：the follow-up to the Nintendo 64「Nintendo64の次世代機」
to my freakish success「私のあの異常な成功の（次にくる）」という意味です。
my freakish success とは、世界的ヒット作となった前回作の「Eat, Pray, Love」のことですね。
freakish は「異常な、奇妙な」という意味の形容詞です。
もとになる freak フリークは「奇人変人、奇形」などという意味の名詞です。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

how I’ve been thinking
ちょうど今の考え方

as I’ve been working on the book
