So I thought, you know what, I’m going to start with connection. Well, you know that situation where you get an evaluation from your boss, and she tells you 37 things that you do really awesome, and one “opportunity for growth?” And all you can think about is that opportunity for growth, right?

So I thought, you know what, I’m going to start with connection. Well, you know that situation where you get an evaluation from your boss, and she tells you 37 things that you do really awesome, and one “opportunity for growth?” And all you can think about is that opportunity for growth, right?
で「そこで私は、よし、まずはこの『つながり』から始めようと思ったのです。ほら、上司から評価を受けるときってあるでしょう。上司が、あなたがものすごくよくできていることを37個も挙げてくれたのに、『改善の余地』をたった1つ指摘されたとします。すると、頭から離れなくなるのは、その『改善の余地』のことだけだったりしますよね？」という意味になります。

So ～「それで～」
I thought,「私は思いました」
, you know what,「つまり～」
I’m going to start with connection.「人とのつながりから始めることになる（と）」

Well, ～「さて～」
you know that situation where ～?「～というような状況、みなさんもご存じでしょう？」
共通の経験を提示するときの便利な言い回しです。
(where) you get an evaluation from your boss,「上司から評価を受ける（状況）で」
, and ～「そして～」
she tells you ～「上司は～をあなたに伝えます」
she は your boss を指しています。
37 things that you do really awesome,「あなたの非常に素晴らしい点を37個」です。
do really awesome, で「すごく良くやっている」です。
, and ～「そして」
one “opportunity for growth?” で「ひとつの『成長の機会』を」です。
opportunity for growth は「成長の機会」ですが、婉曲的に「うまくできなかった点、改善点」という意味です。
つまり良くできた点は37個、改善点が1個ということです。

And ～「そして～」
all you can think about is ～「あなたが考えることは～だけ」
that opportunity for growth「その改善点（だけ）」
, right?「そんな状況ですね？」

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
