禁止令は上からかけるので ban on ～　で「～の禁止」です。
例：ban on abortion「中絶の禁止」

synthetic detergents で「合成洗剤」という意味になります。
synthetic は「合成の、人工の」という意味の形容詞です。
例：synthetic leather「合成皮革」

contamination of the lake で「湖の汚染」です。
contamination は「汚染、汚すこと」という意味の名詞です。
