therapy は「治療法、癒し法」という意味の名詞です。
病気の治療法という意味では、treatment とも言えます。

retrains the body’s immune system で「体の免疫システムを再教育する」となります。

after ～ は「～した後に」という意味の接続詞です。

terminally ill patients で「末期的な病状の患者たち、末期患者」です。
terminal patient などとも言います。

went into remission で「症状が緩和された、官界に至った」という意味です。
remission は「許すこと、赦免」という意味から、「病気の一時的な回復、痛みなどが和らぐこと」という意味です。
例：complete remission「完全寛解」、remission period「寛解期」
