Technology is nothing. What’s important is that you have a faith in people, that they’re basically good and smart, and if you give them tools, they’ll do wonderful things with them.
で「テクノロジーは（ただそれだけで）無意味だ。重要なのは、あなたが人間を信用すること。そして人間は、基本的に善良で賢い。道具を与えれば、その道具を使って素晴らしいことをしてくれるだろう。」という意味になります。

Technology is nothing. で「テクノロジーは何でもない」となります。
nothing は「何物でもない、意味をなさない」という意味合いです。

What’s important is that ～ で「大切なことは～ということだ」です。

大切なのは何かというと、
(that) you have a faith in people で「あなたが人々を信用する（ということ）」です。
have a faith in ～ で「～を信用する、～を信仰する」です。
faith フェイスは「信用、信仰、信じる心」です。
faith in ～ で「～を信じること」となります。
in を使うのは believe in ～ と同じですね。

that they’re basically good and smart で「（また）人々は基本的には善良で賢い（ということを）」です。
good and smart で「善良で賢い」です。
they とは people を指しています。

and if you give them tools, they’ll do wonderful things with them. で「そしてもしあなたが彼らに道具を与えたら、彼らはそれらを使って素晴らしいことをするだろう」です。
if you give them tools で「彼らに道具を与えたら」です。
tools とはこの場合は、technology のことです。
どんどん新しく発明されるパソコンやスマホ、ドローン、AIなどのことです。
they’ll do wonderful things with them. で「人々がそれらを使って素晴らしいことをするだろう」です。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

あなたが人々を信じることだ

that

人々は基本的には善良で賢いということ
