バスに乗り遅れる！

Today, I was walking to the bus stop for school. And the bus drove past me, I chased it and fell in a puddle, my boyfriend was in the bus, and he laughed. FML

Today, I was walking to the bus stop for school. And the bus drove past me, I chased it and fell in a puddle, my boyfriend was in the bus, and he laughed. FML
で「今日、学校へ行くためにバス停まで歩いていた。そしたらバスが私を通り過ぎて行った。私はそのバスを追いかけていて水たまりに落ちた。彼氏がバスの中にいて、私を笑っていた。F*ck my life!」という意味になります。

I was walking to the bus stop for school で「私は学校へのバス停に向かって歩いていていた」です。
bus stop は「バス停」です。
先日出てきた bus shelter「（屋根付きの）バス停」も覚えておきましょう。

And the bus drove past me, で「そしたら、バスが私を通り過ぎて行った」です。
drove past me で「私を通り過ぎた」です。
drove ドゥ[ロ]ウヴは drive「運転する、車で行く」の過去形。
past ～ はこの場合「～を通り過ぎて」という意味の前置詞（preposition）になります。

I chased it and fell in a puddle で「私はそれを追いかけて、水たまりに落ちた」です。
chase は「～を追う」です。
chase it の it は the bus のことです。
fall in ～ で「～に落ちる、～にはまる」です。

my boyfriend was in the bus, and he laughed. で「彼がバスの中にいた、そして彼は笑っていた」です。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

I was walking to the bus stop
私はバス停に向かって歩いていた

for school.
学校へ

And the bus drove past me,
そしたらバスが私を通り過ぎた

私はそれを追って
