アメリカを代表する劇作家テネシー・ウィリアムズ氏の言葉です。

で「ヒステリー間近の人、人生に慄く人、人に縋って必死な人、このような人物像には共感しやすい。でもこのような一見不安定そうな人は、実のところは、強い人だ。」という意味になります。

I have found it easier to ~ で「~することはたやすいことだと分かった」という意味の言い回しです。
find は「見つける」から「~だとわかる、知る」といった意味にもなります。

find it easier to ~ で「~することは簡単だと分かる」です。
easier easy の比較級で「より簡単だ、しやすい」です。

何が、しやすい(easier to do)のかというと、
(to) identify with the characters で「キャラクターに自己投影する」です。
identify with ~ で「~と自分を同一視する」という意味になります。
「~にの身になる、~を自分と重ね合わせる」です。

どんなキャラクターかというと、
the characters who verge upon hysteria「ヒステリー間際の(登場人物)」です。
verge は「~の間際にある」という意味の動詞です。
名詞では「間際、境界線、~のふち」です。
例:on the verge of a smile「今にも微笑みだしそうな」
verge on ~, verge upon ~ で「~間際の、~にほとんど等しい状態である」です。
例:verge on the impossible「ほとんど不可能だ」

who were frightened of life で「人生におののいている(人)」です。
be frightened of ~ で「~に怯える、~に怖がる」です。
frighten フライトゥンで「~を怖がらせる」という意味の動詞です。
名詞形は fright フライトゥ「(危険に対する突然の)強い恐怖」です。

who were desperate to reach out to another person. で「~に必死の(人)、他人に縋ろうとして」です。
be desperate to ~ で「~しようと必死である、~しようと死に物狂いである」という意味です。
例:desperate attack「必死の攻撃」、be desperate for help「必死に助けを求める」
reach out to ~ は「(手を伸ばして)~に助けを求める」という意味です。

But ~「でも」

these seemingly fragile people are the strong people really. で「このような一見不安定な人たちは、実は強い人達だ」です。
seemingly ~ で「一見~な、~であるように見える」という意味になります。
例:seemingly easy job「一見簡単そうな仕事」
fragile フラジャォで「壊れやすい、脆い、脆弱な、不安定な」です。
例:fragile goods「壊れ物」

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
