People like comfort; that’s natural. But as for making money simply for the sake of making it, and giving yourself far more trouble and anxiety to gain it than you can ever get pleasure from it when it’s gained, why, as for me, I’d rather sit still and cross my arms.

で「人は心地よさが好きだ。それは自然なことである。しかし、単に成功するためにお金を稼ぐという事、そして金を得る楽しさ以上に、はるかに多くの問題や心配事を抱えることに関して言えば、まあ、私だったら、じっとして傍観する方を選ぶ。」という意味になります。

People like comfort; that’s natural. で「人は心地の良さが好きだ。それは自然なことだ。」です。

but「しかし」
as for ～ で「～について言えば、～に関しては、～を考慮すると」です。
例：As for Japan, exports have increased.「日本はと言うと、輸出は伸びている。」

making money simply for the sake of making it, で「金を稼ぐこと、単に成功するという目的だけのために」です。
make money は「お金を稼ぐ、金を儲ける」です。
for the sake of ～ で「～の目的のために、～のために」という意味の言い回しです。
simply がついて「～のためだけに」となります。
何のためかというと、making it で「成功すること、うまくやっていくこと」です。
make it は「成功する、出世する、うまくいく」という意味のイディオムです。
例：make it as a singer「歌手として成功する」

and giving yourself far more trouble and anxiety to gain it で「そして自分自身に～を与えること（を考えれば）、ずっと多くのトラブルと心配事を、金を得るために」です。
as for ～ とつながっています。
far more ～ で「ずっと多くの」という意味です。
far「ずっと、はるかに」は比較級を強める働きの副詞です。
trouble and anxiety で「問題ごとと心配事」です。
anxiety アング[ザ]イァティで「心配、不安」という意味の名詞です。
to gain it で「それを得るために」です。it は money を指しています。

than you can ever get pleasure from it when it’s gained, で「～以上に、あなたがお金から楽しみを得られる、それが手に入るときに」です。
要するに、お金を手に入れる時の喜びの総和よりも、不安や問題ごとの方がはるかに大きい、という事ですね。
ever は永続性・継続性・普遍性を意味して、このコンテキストでは「それまで（ずっと）」という意味合いです。
get pleasure from it で「それから楽しみを得る」です。it は money または making money を指しています。
when it’s gained, で「それが得られる時に」です。同じく it は money のことですね。

why, as for me, I’d rather sit still and cross my arms. で「まあ、私なら、じっとして傍観する方がましだと思う。」です。
why, はこの場合、古風な言い回しの間投詞（interjection）で「まあ、もちろん、そうね」という承諾・あきらめ・曖昧さなどの意味合いです。

I’d rather ～ で「～の方がましだ、～するほうがいい」という意味の言い回しです。
sit still and cross one’s arms は「動かずに傍観を決め込む」という意味の慣用句です。
still は「じっと、静かに、動かずに」という意味の副詞です。
cross one’s arms で「（腕を組んで）静観する、傍観する、ゲームには参加しない」という事です。
例：I can’t keep my arms crossed.「ただ傍観しているわけにはいかない」

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
