Hollowness: that I understand. I’m starting to believe that there isn’t anything you can do to fix it. That’s what I’ve taken from the therapy sessions: the holes in your life are permanent. You have to grow around them, like tree roots around concrete; you mold yourself through the gaps.

で「空虚さ――それは私にもわかる。私はだんだん、そこにはもう、何をしても埋め合わせたり修復したりはできないのだと思うようになってきている。セラピーを受けてきて私が得たのは、そういうことだ。人生にできた穴は、消えないまま残る。コンクリートを避けて伸びる木の根のように、その穴をよけながら成長していくしかない。そうした隙間を通して、自分というものを形作っていくのだ。」という意味になります。

Hollowness:「空虚さ、むなしさ、空っぽであること」です、
that I understand.「それは私も理解している」です。
この that は hollowness を受けた指示代名詞で「それ」です。

I’m starting to believe that ～ で「私は、～だと確信するようになってきている」です。
(that) there isn’t anything you can do to fix it. で「それを修復するためにできることは何もない（ということ）」です。
fix ～ はここでは「～を修理する、元通りにする、正常に戻す」です。
ここでの you は、一般論を言う時に使う総称人称です。「人は～、誰もが～」などと訳せます。

That’s what I’ve taken ～「それが私が～得たことだ」
from the therapy sessions:「セラピー受けてきたことから」

the holes in your life are permanent.「人生に空いた穴は、永続するものだ。」
permanent は「永続的な、いつまでも同じ状態を保つ」という意味の形容詞。
例：permanent residence「永住」

You have to grow around them,「人はそれらの穴の周りに成長しなければならないのだ」
, like ～「～のように」
tree roots around concrete;「コンクリートの周りの木の根（のように）」
you mold yourself「自分自身を型で作るのだ」
through the gaps.「その隙間を通して」です。
the gaps はつまり、コンクリート以外の隙間、ということですね。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

私は～だと確信するようになってきた

何もない（と）
