で「台湾の総統は日曜日、ドナルド・トランプ大統領が中国訪問後、台湾に対するアメリカの継続的な支援に疑問を投げかけたことを受けて、アメリカからの武器購入は、地域の紛争や不安定化を防ぐための『最も重要な抑止力』であると強調した。」という意味になります。

Taiwan’s president で「台湾の総統」です。
president は「（共和国の）大統領、（台湾の）総統、（中国の）国家主席」などに使えます。
現在の台湾の総統は、頼清徳（らい・せいとく）です。
on Sunday「日曜日に」
stressed that ～ で「～だと強く主張した」です。
stress ～ で「～を強調する」
arms purchases from the United States are ～ で「アメリカからの武器購入は～」
arms purchases で「武器の購入」
arms と複数形で「武器、兵器」です。
(are) the most important deterrent of ～ で「～の最も重要な抑止力（であると）」です。
deterrent ディ[タ]レントゥで「抑止、抑止力」という意味の名詞です。
動詞形は deter で「～を阻む、阻止する、思いとどまらせる」です。
例：deterrent effect of nuclear weapons「核兵器の抑止効果」
(of) regional conflict and instability で「地域の紛争と不安定化（に対しての）」です。
regional は「地域の」という意味の形容詞。ここでは東アジア地域を指しています。

, after ～「～の後で、～を受けて」
President Donald Trump called into question で「ドナルド・トランプ大統領が～を疑問視した後で」です。
call ～ into question で「～を疑問視する、～に疑問を投げかける」という意味の言い回し。
ここでは目的語は、後ろに置かれて、
continued U.S. support of Taiwan で「台湾に対するアメリカの継続的な支援」です。
continued は「継続的な、持続的な、引き続きの」
support of ～ で「～に対する支援」です。
先の deterrent of ～ と同様に、この of は【対象・目的】を意味して「～に対する」と訳せます。
例：love of nature「自然への愛」、fear of failure「失敗への恐れ」、admiration of his courage「彼の勇気への称賛」
following his visit to China. で「トランプ大統領の中国訪問の直後に」です。
following ～ も「～の後で、～を受けて、～の直後に」です。
