People think focus means saying yes to the thing you’ve got to focus on. But that’s not what it means at all. It means saying no to the hundred other good ideas that there are. You have to pick carefully. I’m actually as proud of the things we haven’t done as the things I have done. Innovation is saying no to 1,000 things.

で「人は『集中する』とは、自分が集中すべきことに「イエス」と言うことだと思っています。でも、それはまったく違います。集中するというのは、他にある100もの優れたアイデアに『ノー』と言うことなのです。何を選ぶかは慎重に決めなければなりません。実際、私は、自分がやってきたことと同じくらい、やらなかったことにも誇りを持っています。イノベーションとは、1,000ものことに『ノー』と言うことなのです。」という意味になります。

People think (that) ～「人々は～だと考える」
focus means ～「集中とは～を意味する（と）」
saying yes to ～「～にイエスと言うこと」
(to) the thing (that) ～「～なもの（に）」
(that) you’ve got to focus on.「あなたが集中しなければならない（もの）」です。
you’ve got to ～ の have got to do ～ は「～しなければならない」という意味です。
have to do ～ とほぼ同じ意味ですが、話し言葉でよく使われます。

But ～「しかし～」
that’s not what it means at all.「それは、それが意味するものでは全くない」です。
that’s not what it means で「そういうことではない、そういう意味ではない」という意味のコロケーション。
最後の at all は否定の強調で「全く（～ない）」です。

It means ～「それは～を意味する」
saying no to ～「～にノーと言うこと」
(to) the hundred other good ideas「他の100個の良いアイデア（に）」
(good ideas) that there are. で「そこにある（良いアイデア）」です。
there are は exist とも言い換えできますね。

You have to pick carefully.「慎重に選ばなければならない。」です。
pick は「摘む、摘み取る」から「選ぶ、選び取る」という意味でも使われます。

I’m actually as proud of ～ で「私は実際に（…と同じくらい）～に誇りを持っている」
as ～ as …「…と同じくらい～」の言い回しに、be proud of ～ 「～に誇りに思う」が合わさった形です。
何に誇りを持っているかというと、
(be proud of) the things we haven’t done で「私たちがやらなかったこと（に誇りを持つ）」です。
the things (that) we haven’t done で「私たちがやらなかった事たち」です。
as ～「～と同じくらいに」
the things I have done.「私たちがやった事（と同じくらいに）」です。

Innovation is ～「イノベーションとは」
saying no to 1,000 things.「1000個のことにノーと言うことなのだ」です。
is saying となっていますが、ここでは saying は進行形ではなく動名詞です。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

人は～だと考える

focus means
集中とは～を意味すると

saying yes to
～にイエスと言うこと

the thing
～なことに

you’ve got to focus on.
あなたが集中しなければならない（こと）

But
しかし

that’s not what it means at all.
それは全くそんな意味ではない
