Today, after I lent my friend my favorite shirt because he needed it for a date, he gave it back to me stained with soy sauce. I asked to take his favorite two toned shirt as a replacement, but he refused and said, “If it was your favorite shirt, why did you lend it to me?” FML
で「今日、お気に入りのシャツをデートで必要だというので友人に貸した。その後、友人は醤油の染みをつけて返してきた。私は代償として彼のお気に入りのツートンのシャツをもらいたいと言った。しかし彼はそれを断って言った。『お気に入りのシャツなら、どうして貸したんだよ。』と。F*ck my life!」という意味になります。

after ～「～した後」です。
I lent my friend my favorite shirt で「私が友達にお気に入りのシャツを貸した（あと）」です。
lend ～ … で「～に…を貸す」です。
lend … to ～ としてもOKです。
lent は lend「～を貸す」の過去形。反対語は borrow「～を借りる」です。

because he needed it for a date で「友達がそれをデートのために必要だったから」です。
he は my friend のこと。
for a date で「デートに」ですね。

その後で、
he gave it back to me で「友達はそのシャツを私に返した」です。
give ～ back で「～を返す」です。
stained with soy sauce. で「醤油の染みをつけて、醤油で汚して」です。
stain ス[テ]インは「～に染みをつけて汚す」という意味です。
文法的には、(with it being) stained with soy sauce と、with の付帯状況の分詞構文が省略された形と考えればいいかなと思います。

I asked to ～ で「私は～することを要求した」です。
take his favorite two toned shirt as a replacement, で「彼のお気に入りのツートンカラーのシャツをもらう、代償として」です。
take は「取る、持っていく」です。
two toned は two-toned とも書いて「ツートンカラーの」ですね。
tone [ト]ウンは「色調、音色」などという意味。
～-toned で「～調の」といった意味になります。
例：sepia-toned photo「セピア色（調）の写真」

but「でも」
he refused and said,「彼は断って、～と言った」
refuse リフューズは「断る、嫌だという」です。
名詞形は refusal リ[フュ]ーザォ「拒否、拒絶」です。

“If it was your favorite shirt, why did you lend it to me?” で「もしそれが君のお気に入りのシャツだったなら、なぜ僕にそれを貸したんだ？」です。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

彼がデートで必要だったので

he gave it back to me
彼は私にそれを返した
