Here is ～ で「こちらが～です、ここで～を見てみましょう」といった意味です。

how smartphones can be hijacked で「スマホがどうやってハイジャックされるのか」です。
hijack は「ハイジャックする、乗っ取る」という意味の動詞です。

a look at the potential consequences で「その潜在的な重大性を垣間見」です。
a look at ～ は「～をちょっと見てみること」です。
the potential consequences で「その潜在的な重大性」です。
the がついているので、前出の「スマホが乗っ取られることの」潜在的重大性という事だと分かります。
consequence [カ]ンセケンスは「必然的に導かれる結果、当然の帰結、因果関係、影響」という意味から「物事の重大性」という意味になります。
例：social consequence「社会的重大性、社会への重大な影響」

and the thriving market in surveillance vendors で「そして、活気づくマーケット、偵察業者たちの中で」です。
thriving スライヴィングは「活気づいている、盛況な」という意味の形容詞です。
動詞形は thrive スライヴで「繁栄する、木などが健康に育つ」です
surveillance vendor は「偵察業者、調査業者」ですが、この場合は、スマホの盗聴アプリなどを作っている業者のことを指しています。
surveillance サーヴェイランスは「偵察、監視、調査、張り込み」などという意味です。
動詞形は surveil で「監視する、偵察する」です。
例：surveillance aircraft「偵察機」

helping the world’s spies get access to people’s secrets. で「世界のスパイたちを助けている、人の秘密にアクセスするのを」です。
help ～ …（動詞原型） で「～が…するのを助ける」となります。
get access to people’s secrets で「人の秘密にアクセスする」となります。
