and ～「そして～」
(an interview) partially released on Saturday, で「土曜日に一部が公開された（インタビュー）」です。

Francis used the phrase で「教皇フランシスコは、～というフレーズを使った」です。
Francis は「教皇フランシスコ（Pope Francis）」のことです。
またはローマ法王とも呼ばれます。
(the phrase) “the courage of the white flag” で「白旗の勇気（というフレーズ）」

as he argued that ～「法王が～だと主張した中で」です。
なんと主張したかというと、
