フランス生まれの哲学者、数学者、合理主義哲学の祖であり、近世哲学の祖として知られる、ルネ・デカルトの言葉です。

Common sense is the most fairly distributed thing in the world, for each one thinks he is so well-endowed with it that even those who are hardest to satisfy in all other matters are not in the habit of desiring more of it than they already have.

Common sense is the most fairly distributed thing in the world, for each one thinks he is so well-endowed with it that even those who are hardest to satisfy in all other matters are not in the habit of desiring more of it than they already have.
で「常識というものは世界で最も公平に広く分配されているものである。というのも、人は自分が常識というものを十二分に持ち合わせていると考えているのため、他のことでは滅多に満足しないような人でさえも、常識についてはもうこれ以上は欲しがらないのが常である。」という意味になります。

Common sense is ～ で「常識というものは～」です。
common sense で「常識、一般的な感覚、良識、分別」です。
the most fairly distributed thing in the world で「世界で最も平等に配られたもの」です。
fairly は「平等に、公平に、適正に」という意味の副詞です。
形容詞形は fair で「公平な、公明正大な、偏りのない」です。
fairly distributed なので「偏りなく平等に配られた」です。

, for ～ で「なぜなら～、というのも～」という意味の等位接続詞です。

each one thinks (that) ～ で「各々が～だと考えている（から）」
なんと考えているのかというと、
(that) he is so well-endowed with it で「自分がそれ（常識）をとてもよく授かっている（と）」です。
he は each one を指しています。そして最後の it は common sense を指しています。
つまり人は、自分が十分に常識を受け取っている（持っている）と思っている、ということです。

so ～ that … の構文で「とても～なので…だ」です。
that節に入り、
主語は、even those who are hardest to satisfy in all other matters までになります。
those who are hardest to satisfy in all other matters で「他のすべてのことにおいては満足することが難しい人々」です。
those who ～ で「～する人々」
are hardest to do ～ で「～することが非常に難しい（人々）」
hardest to satisfy で「満足することが非常に難しい」です。つまり、滅多に満足することがない、ということですね。
in all other matters で「他のすべてのことにおいては」です。
common sense 以外のこと、ということですね。
そんな人々でさえも（even）、
are not in the habit of ～ing で「～する習慣を持っていない」です。
be in the habit of ～ で「～する習慣がある、～するのが常である」という意味のコロケーションです。
例：People who aren’t in the habit of thinking deeply「深く考える習慣のない人々」
どんな習慣がないのかというと、
(of) desiring more of it で「それをもっと欲しがる（習慣がない）です。」
it は先ほどと同じく common sense を指します。
than they already have. で「自分たちが既に持っている以上に」です。
they は、先ほどの those who ～「～する人々」を指します。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
