本日の例文

Mark Zuckerberg のハーバード大学の卒業式でのスピーチ（2017年）です。

It says something about our current situation that I can’t even say his name because I don’t want to put him at risk. But if a high school senior who doesn’t know what the future holds can do his part to move the world forward, then we owe it to the world to do our part too.

It says something about our current situation that I can’t even say his name because I don’t want to put him at risk. But if a high school senior who doesn’t know what the future holds can do his part to move the world forward, then we owe it to the world to do our part too.
で「彼の名前を口にすることすらできない――彼を危険にさらしたくないからです。そういうこと自体が、私たちが今置かれている状況を物語っています。でも、将来がどうなるのか分からない高校最終学年の若者でさえ、世界を前に進めるために自分にできることをしているのなら、私たちもまた、世界に対して、自分たちにできることをする責任があるのです。」という意味になります。

It says something about our current situation that ～ で「～ということが、我々の今の状況を物語っている」という意味になります。
最初の It は that節を受けた仮主語ですね。
says something about ～ 直訳すると「～について何かを言う」ですが「～について物語る」という意味の言い回しです。
(that) I can’t even say his name because ～ で「～なので、彼の名前を言うことさえできない（ということ）」です。
(because) I don’t want to put him at risk.「彼を危険に晒したくない（ので）」です。
つまり、彼が undocumented「正規の在留資格を持たない」状態なので、名前を公表すると危険だということです。

But ～「しかし～」
if ～「もし～なら」
a high school senior who ～「（～する）一人の高校３年生が」
(who) doesn’t know ～「～がわからない（高校３年生）」
what the future holds「未来に何が待ち受けているか」です。
senior は日本でいうと高校３年生、アメリカでは 12th grader ですね。
what the future holds は「将来待ち受けていること」という意味の言い回し。
そんな高校生でさえ、
can do his part で「自分の役割を果たせる（のなら）」です。
to move the world forward,「世界を前進させるために（役割を果たせる）」です。
then ～「そうであれば～」
we owe it to the world to do our part too.「私たちは、世界に負っている、自分たちも役割を果たすことを」です。
owe ～ to … で「…に～を負う、借りがある」です。
この it も to do ～「～すること」を受けた仮目的語となっています。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

because
～なので

I don’t want to put him at risk.
彼を危険に晒したくない（ので）
