で「今年は、マリリン・モンローの生誕100周年にあたる。展覧会からブランド契約に至るまで、記念企画の多くは、彼女の遺産や知的財産権（IP）の権利を所有する会社によって計画された。往年の有名人のIPからは、大金を稼ぐことができるのだ。」という意味になります。
This year marks the centenary of ～ で「今年は～の100周年にあたる」です。
ここでの mark は「（特別な出来事を）記念する、祝賀する、～にあたる」です。
centenary セン[テ]ネリで「100周年、100年祭」という意味の名詞。
(of) Marilyn Monroe’s birth. で「マリリン・モンローの誕生（100周年）」です。
Much of the celebration で「その祝賀行事の大部分」です。
much of ～ で「～の多く、～の大部分」という意味になります。
ここでの celebration は、単なるパーティーではなく、マリリン・モンロー生誕100周年を祝う一連のイベントや商業企画全体を指しています。
そのため、複数のイベントを数える many of the celebrations ではなく、全体の大部分を表す much of the celebration になっています。
— from exhibitions to brand deals で「展示会から、ブランド契約まで」です。
from ～ to … の形で「～から…まで」という意味の言い回し。
was planned by the firm で「その会社によって企画された」です。
その会社とは、
(that) owns the rights to ～ で「～への権利を所有する（会社）」です。
(to) her estate and intellectual property (IP). で「彼女の遺産や知的財産（IP）の権利」です。
IP で intellectual property「知的財産」となります。
肖像権・パブリシティ権・著作権・商標などのこと。
You can make a killing で「大儲けができる」です。
ここでの you は、総称のyouで「人は～」という意味です。
make a killing は「大儲けする」という意味のイディオム。
from the IP of bygone celebrities. で「往年の有名人のIPから」です。
bygone は「過ぎ去った、過去の、往年の」です。
例：bygone days「過ぎ去った日々」、Let bygones be bygones.「過ぎたことは過ぎたこと。」
celebrity で「有名人、著名人」です。
日本語の「セレブ」にはお金持ちという意味もありますが、英語の celebrity はシンプルに famous person です。
それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
