Research has implicated ～ で「研究は～を示唆している」です。
implicate は「～をほのめかす、～を示唆する」という意味の他動詞。
ここでは直前の文「OCDは最初から人間の脳に生物学的に組み込まれている」ということを受けて、
three regions of the brain「脳の3つの部位」が、その組み込まれている場所ではないかと示唆しているわけです。
variously involved in ～ で「様々な形で、～に携わっている」です。
be involved in ～ で「～に従事している、～に携わっている」という意味の言い回しです。
例：involved in a decision「決定に関与する」、gene involved in cell division「細胞分裂に関わる遺伝子」
何に関わっている脳の部分かというと、
(involved in) social behavior and complex cognitive planning, で「社会的振る舞いと複雑な認知的な計画（に関わる）」です。
これが、脳内の３つの部位に対する１つ目にあたります。
２つめの領域が、, voluntary movement, で「自発的な運動、随意運動」に関わるもの。
３つめの領域が、and emotional and motivational responses. で「感情的・動機的反応」に関わるものです。
