I’ve wanted to design golf courses ever since I was a kid. I suppose it comes from the way I’ve played the game. To find the proper way to play any hole, I’ve always begun by asking myself what the architect has tried to do with it.

I’ve wanted to design golf courses ever since I was a kid. I suppose it comes from the way I’ve played the game. To find the proper way to play any hole, I’ve always begun by asking myself what the architect has tried to do with it.
で「私は子供の時からずっとゴルフコースを設計してみたいと思ってきました。それはたぶん自分がゴルフをプレイするやり方から来ているのだと思います。ホールをプレイする最善の方法を見つけるために、私はいつも自分に問うところから始めます。そのホール設計者がそのホールで何をやろうとしたのかを。」という意味になります。

I’ve wanted to design golf courses で「私はゴルフコースをデザインしたいと思ってきた」です。
design は「～をデザインする、設計する、図案を書く」という意味の動詞です。
日本語の「デザイン」はファンションやアートのイメージが大きいですが、英語では「設計」という意味で建築や科学などの分野でも使える単語です。
例：design a drug「新しい薬を作る」、design a program「プログラムを設計する」
ever since I was a kid. で「私が子供だった時からずっと」です。

I suppose (that) it comes from the way で「私は～だと思う、それは～のやり方から来ているのだと」です。
it は「そのこと」、つまりゴルフコースを設計したいということです。
(the way) I’ve played the game. で「私がゲームをプレイしてきたやり方」です。
the game はつまりゴルフのゲーム（試合・大会）のことです。

To find the proper way to play any hole, で「ホールをプレイする適切な方法を探すために」です。
hole はゴルフ用語で、ティーグラウンドからグリーンまでを指します。一般的には18からなるホールを総称してコースと呼びます。

I’ve always begun by ～ing で「私はいつも～することから始めてきた」です。
begin by ～ing で「～することから始める、まずはじめに～する」です。
asking myself what ～ で「自分に～は何かを問うこと（からはじめる）」です。
何を自分に問うのかというと、
what the architect has tried to do with it. で「その設計者が何をしようとしているかを、そのホールで」です。
architect [ア]ーキテクトゥは「建築家、設計者」で、designer と同じくゴルフコースの設計者のことです。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。
