で「私が若いとき、The Whole Earth Catalog という素晴らしい出版物がありました。それは私たち年代にとってのバイブル（必読書）の一つでした。」という意味になります。

When I was young で「私が若いとき」です。

there was an amazing publication called The Whole Earth Catalog で「The Whole Earth Catalogという素晴らしい出版物があった」です。
publication は「出版物」という意味で、本や雑誌などの総称です。
動詞形は、publish で「出版する」です。
called ～ で「～と呼ばれる、～という」という意味の言い回しです。
Whole Earth Catalog は直訳すると「全地球カタログ」となります。
ヒッピーの時代によく読まれた雑誌だそうです。

which was one of the bibles of my generation で「（それは）我々世代の必読書の一つだった」です。
bible は「聖書」ですが、そこから「必読書、必携書」という意味で使われます。

それではまず文節に分けて日本語に訳し内容を理解して下さい。

素晴らしい出版物がありました

「全地球カタログ」という

それは私の世代の必読書の一つでした
